Mona Lisa
The Mona Lisa is a painting by the Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci, realized between 1503 and 1506, which represents a half-body portrait, probably that of the Florentine Lisa Gherardini, wife of Francesco del Giocondo. Acquired by Francis I, this oil painting on poplar wood panel of 77 × 53 cm is exhibited at the Louvre Museum in Paris. The Mona Lisa is one of the few paintings attributed to Leonardo da Vinci.
