Starry Night

The Starry Night is a painting by the Dutch post-impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh. The painting represents what Van Gogh could see from the room he occupied in the asylum of the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole monastery in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in May 1889.

Often presented as his great work, Has been reproduced on numerous occasions. It is preserved at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York since 1941.
